
Brazilian national sentenced after guilty plea in Chateaugay border case

The DOJ said Border Patrol detected two people crossing the border in March and later stopped a vehicle after the individuals were seen entering it. Vieira-Bastos was identified as the driver, and the two passengers matched the descriptions of the people observed crossing. After completing his sentence, Vieira-Bastos is subject to deportation, according to the DOJ.
