Maj. Gen. Scott Naumann, commander of the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, is reflecting on the division’s history as the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks approaches.
The division was among the first U.S. units to deploy to Afghanistan after the attacks and continued deploying during two decades of operations that included Iraq.
