Carthage native Casey Powell takes over Le Moyne men's lacrosse
Casey Powell, a Carthage native and Hall of Fame lacrosse player, has become Le Moyne College's head men's lacrosse coach as the program works toward Division I postseason eligibility.
Casey Powell, a Carthage native and four-time All-American at Syracuse University, is now leading Le Moyne College's men's lacrosse program. Powell's professional career included induction into the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame, the NLL Hall of Fame and the Professional Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2022.
Le Moyne has gone 16-25 since moving to Division I, including a 4-11 record last season. The program is expected to become eligible for the NCAA Tournament in 2027. Powell said he wants to build around players who are committed to hard work and help Le Moyne compete at a higher level.
