
Central New York events include Shakespeare, market celebration and yoga
Events listed for the weekend include outdoor theater in Syracuse, a 35th anniversary celebration in Cooperstown, a festival in Syracuse and giraffe yoga in Harpursville.
Several events are planned across Central New York this weekend, including performances, a farmers market anniversary celebration, a cultural festival and a yoga class at an animal park.
Syracuse Shakespeare in the Park is scheduled to present “The Taming of the Shrew” at Thornden Park Amphitheater at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 2 p.m. Sunday performance. The Cooperstown Farmers Market, at 101 Main Street, is marking 35 years from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with vendors, live music and raffles. The Syracuse Latino Festival is planned for noon to 10 p.m. Saturday at Clinton Square, featuring vendors, food and drink, arts and crafts, a dominoes tournament and musical performances.
Animal Adventure Park, 85 Martin Hill Road in Harpursville, is scheduled to host a one-hour Giraffe Yoga class at 9 a.m. Saturday. Participants will have an opportunity to feed the park’s giraffes afterward. Registration is listed at $30.
