
Fort Drum honors 25 civilian employees at Civilians of the Quarter ceremony
Fort Drum recognized 25 civilian employees at an Aug. 13 Civilians of the Quarter ceremony, with top honors going to workers in the GS 1-8, GS 9 and above, and Wage Grade categories.
Twenty-five civilian employees at Fort Drum were recognized during the installation's Civilians of the Quarter ceremony on Aug. 13. Those honored work in fields including law enforcement, health care, protocol, family support and security. Certificates were presented by Col. Jason Adler, Fort Drum garrison commander, and Brig. Gen. Matti Honko, 10th Mountain Division (LI) deputy commanding general of interoperability. Adler said the awardees' work helps ensure the 10th Mountain Division and tenant units remain ready to deploy and able to accomplish their missions.
Andrew Hickman, of the Directorate of Human Resources, was named overall Civilian of the Quarter in the General Schedule 1-8 category. Katelyn Smart, of the 10th Mountain Division, took top honors in the General Schedule 9 and above category, and Raymond Kinne, of Army Field Support Battalion-Drum, was the Wage Grade honoree. Robert Ormsbee, of the Directorate of Human Resources, was recognized in the supervisor category. Other awardees came from offices including the Directorate of Emergency Services, the Directorate of Public Works, the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity, the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, the Mission and Installation Contracting Command, and the 1st and 2nd Mobile Brigade Combat Teams.
