Gouverneur cancer fund plans 25th annual walk for Oct. 3

The Gouverneur Breast and Ovarian Cancer Fund plans to hold its 25th annual walk Oct. 3 at Gouverneur Village Park. Registration is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., with opening ceremonies at 10:15 a.m., followed by the walk.

The fund says donations support people facing breast and ovarian cancer in a four-county area, including help with medical and prescription copayments, insurance costs, travel, utilities and car payments. Registration forms and pledge sheets are available at gouverneurbreastovariancancerfund.com. A celebration dinner and comedy show is also planned for Oct. 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn.
