The Massena Central School Board approved a revised agreement for a second school resource officer during a special meeting Wednesday night. The agreement calls for patrol officer Shawn Hatch to serve from Sept. 1 through June 30 alongside juvenile officer Michael A. Flynn, who is the district’s current SRO.

Flynn is assigned to the high school and Nightengale Elementary School. Hatch is scheduled to cover J.W. Leary Junior High School and Jefferson and Madison elementary schools. The agreement was approved by six board members, while Robert M. LeBlanc voted against it. The revised agreement sets a prorated salary and benefits amount not to exceed $152,662, excluding overtime.
