
Massena power board to review economic development funding

The Northern New York Power Proceeds Allocation Board is scheduled to meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the New York Power Authority’s Massena office at 2 Water St., in The Mercantile Building.
The board is expected to consider funding recommendations under the Northern New York Power Proceeds Allocation Act. The law directs net earnings from the market sale of unused hydropower from the St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project toward economic development in St. Lawrence County. The meeting is open to the public and is also scheduled to be available online through nypa.gov’s “View Meetings” feature.
