Massena Police, the First Responders Children’s Foundation and CSX Pride in Service will host a free “Christmas with a Cop” event Dec. 4 for local children and families. The event will include a toy giveaway and an opportunity to meet local police officers.
The event is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2026, at the Massena Community Center, 61 Beach Street. The Massena Police Department said the event is intended to provide local youth with a holiday gift.
Community holiday programs
The event follows other youth and holiday activities involving Massena Police and its partners. In August, Massena was among 50 police departments selected for a Police Activities League event involving the department, the First Responders Children’s Foundation and CSX. About 600 toys went to the Police Activities League for Massena youth.
Massena Police also held a free “Skate with a Cop” event at the Massena Arena in February and has participated in St. Lawrence County Toys for Tots efforts during previous holiday seasons.
Event location and updates
The Massena Community Center is operated by the Village and Town of Massena. The facility’s Community Room can hold up to 265 people.
The event is scheduled for Dec. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 61 Beach Street. Questions about the event or possible donations can be directed to the Massena Police Department at 315-769-3577. Updates are also expected through the department’s Facebook page.
