North Country weekend calendar includes festivals, races and markets
Several public events are scheduled around the North Country, including Blues in the Bay, the Sackets Harbor Marathon and Half Marathon, the Watertown Saturday Farmers Market, and a gem and fossil show in Clayton.
Several events are scheduled around the North Country from Friday through Monday, including Blues in the Bay in downtown Alexandria Bay. The event is scheduled for Sept. 4-7 and includes blues music, food and craft vendors. Hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 3 p.m. Monday.
The Watertown Saturday Farmers Market is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at JB Wise Plaza. The Sackets Harbor Marathon and Half Marathon will run Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning and ending at Madison Barracks Polo Grounds. The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
The 1000 Island Gem, Mineral, Jewelry & Fossil Show is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Cerow Recreation Park in Clayton. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for people over 13.
