Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a $567,829 allocation for the North Country through New York’s Youth Employment Program. The statewide program received $42 million for the current cycle, which runs from Sept. 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
The program is intended for eligible young people ages 14 to 20 from households with incomes below 200% of the federal poverty level. The funding is distributed by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance to local departments of social services and supports paid work, career exploration and educational assistance.
