Ogdensburg has released a list of 19 proposed projects seeking state funding through the city’s $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The proposals include housing, offices, commercial buildings, downtown street improvements and work involving existing properties.
The list includes plans to convert vacant upper floors of the 1874 Sperling Building into offices and an apartment, a $5 million addition to the Remington Museum, streetscape projects on several downtown streets and rehabilitation of a church mission center. The projects are scheduled for discussion at the next DRI committee meeting on October 7, followed by a community survey on which proposals residents prefer.
