Ogdensburg Promise to offer last-dollar scholarships to OFA students

The Ogdensburg Promise plans to provide last-dollar scholarships for current Ogdensburg Free Academy students attending a local college or approved trade school.

The Ogdensburg Promise plans to provide last-dollar scholarships to current Ogdensburg Free Academy students in grades 9 through 12. The scholarships are intended for students attending a local college or an approved trade school and would cover remaining tuition costs after other financial aid is applied.

Nearly $4 million has been raised for the program’s initial scholarships. An informational meeting is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. in the OFA auditorium. The program was founded by OFA alumnus Lonny Carpenter, and organizers hope to expand eligibility to additional classes in the future.
