Potsdam board schedules meetings on proposed 2027 budget
The Potsdam Town Board scheduled budget workshops and a public hearing on a proposed tax-cap override for the 2027 fiscal year.
The Potsdam Town Board has scheduled two meetings to review portions of the proposed 2027 budget. The General and Town Outside budgets are set for review Sept. 29 at 4:30 p.m., followed by Highway DA and DB, and Water/Sewer budgets on Sept. 30 at 4:30 p.m.
The board also approved a tax-cap override and set a public hearing for Oct. 13. The hearing will follow a separate hearing on the town’s battery-storage moratorium, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The override could allow the town to adopt a budget exceeding the state’s property-tax levy limit; the board may rescind it if the proposed budget remains within the cap.
