The Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department and Summit SHRED LAB held a Community Shred Day fundraiser Sept. 19 at Summit SHRED LAB in Potsdam. The event collected $327 for the fire department and securely shredded approximately one ton of paper over four hours.
Participants could have up to three boxes or 50 pounds of documents shredded for a $5 donation. The fundraiser was held to support the department’s annual October donation campaign. Funds from that campaign support equipment, training, public education materials and fire station operations.
