Potsdam firefighters visited Clarkson University for a fire-safety demonstration focused on dorm rooms and fire alarms. The event included a simulated dorm-room burn designed to show how quickly conditions can change in a cluttered living space.
Firefighters monitored temperatures during the demonstration, which exceeded 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit within two minutes of ignition. The participating units were E-80, operated by J. Keleher, along with 36-2, 36-3 and 36-4.
