Rally held in Massena over proposed data center development

A rally opposing data center development was held Saturday at the intersection of Main Street and State Route 37 in Massena, according to the submitted report.

New York Digital Investment Group plans to expand a Bitcoin mining operation at the former Alcoa East site, which has been idle since 2014. The location previously hosted North Country Collocation Services, whose parent company, Coinmint, later entered a partnership that included millions of dollars in investment, the report said.
