The Samaritan Medical Center Foundation has received a $575,000 grant from the Saint Agatha Foundation to purchase a contrast-enhanced mammography system for the Samaritan Women’s Wellness and Breast Care Center in Watertown.

The system is expected to be installed by the end of the year. Samaritan said the technology will expand access to advanced breast imaging in Northern New York and can help detect cancer, support treatment monitoring, and provide an option for patients who cannot undergo breast MRI.
