SUNY Potsdam Athletics plans to hold its 19th annual Leaf-Raking Day in the village of Potsdam on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026. Student-athletes will help rake leaves at homes of senior citizens and people with special needs, as well as at Bayside Cemetery.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include Bears student-athletes from all programs. Residents who want to request help should contact Bears Assistant Athletic Director Lauren Bruce at brucele@potsdam.edu.
SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University make Potsdam a college town, and the village has just under 10,000 residents. The event's 19th annual designation reflects its continuing history of connecting student-athletes with residents who need help with seasonal yard work.
The Leaf-Raking Day is set for Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Potsdam. Residents seeking assistance can contact Bruce by email for more information.
