
SUNY Potsdam plans fall arrival with new programs and campus upgrades
SUNY Potsdam is preparing to welcome new and returning students for the fall 2026 semester with new academic programs, campus improvements and Welcome Weekend events.
SUNY Potsdam is set to welcome its 210th class of new students on Aug. 27, when the Class of 2030 is scheduled to arrive. Returning students are expected to join them through the weekend before fall classes begin Aug. 31, the college announced.
The fall semester will include new programs in physical education, music education, and inclusive and special education. The college also plans to expand microcredential opportunities, including scholarships through a partnership with the New York Municipal Empowerment Foundation.
Campus projects include upgrades to the Maxcy Hall Fieldhouse and Athletic Complex, new WISER Botanical Gardens, renovations at the Revetta Planetarium, updated classroom spaces and new roofs on the Townhouse complex. Welcome Weekend is scheduled to include fireworks, a carnival and other activities.
