SUNY Potsdam said its foundation received $10,026,698 in gifts and commitments during the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2026. The total came from about 2,800 donors and surpassed the foundation’s previous record of $6.2 million, set in 2011-12.
The college said the fundraising included a $2 million gift from Marilyn A. Horner for music education, an additional $1 million commitment from the Chuck Lorre Family Foundation for student success programs and a contribution from Phyllis Ferrantello that pushed the total above $10 million. Planned gifts made up 42% of the annual total, while the foundation’s endowment reached about $75.7 million, according to SUNY Potsdam.
