SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Canton receive high marks in regional college rankings
SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Canton received multiple strong placements in the 2027 U.S. News college rankings, with Canton also ranked by Washington Monthly.

SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Canton received several high rankings in the newly released 2027 college guides. The rankings place Potsdam at No. 30 among Northern public schools and tied at No. 98 overall among Northern regional universities. It also tied at No. 45 for social mobility and has appeared in the Northern Regional Universities list for 28 consecutive years.
SUNY Canton ranked No. 22 among Northern regional colleges and No. 11 among Northern public schools. It also ranked fourth for value, 14th for social mobility and fourth among colleges for veterans in the North. Washington Monthly ranked Canton No. 43 among its Top 100 U.S. Rural Colleges.
