
Three Jefferson County graduates receive Boldt Scholarships
Three Jefferson County high school graduates received two-year, $10,000 George C. Boldt Scholarships from the Northern New York Community Foundation.
Three Jefferson County high school graduates from the class of 2026 have received George C. Boldt Scholarships from the Northern New York Community Foundation. Each scholarship provides $10,000 over two years, and the awards were presented during a reception at Boldt Castle in Alexandria Bay.
The recipients are Belleville Henderson High School graduate May M. Gordon, General Brown High School graduate Emma J. Lavarnway and Sackets Harbor High School graduate Roman L. Peebles. Gordon plans to study biology at the University at Albany, Lavarnway plans to study early childhood education there, and Peebles plans to study culinary arts at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park.
