Two charged after shooting during dispute in Mexico
New York State Police said two Parish men were charged after a shooting during a domestic dispute in the Town of Mexico left one person with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two Parish men were charged after a shooting during a domestic dispute in the Town of Mexico, New York State Police said. The incident was reported Aug. 20 at about 6:30 p.m. on Route 11 in the Town of Mexico.
Police said one man was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Daniel Smith, 33, was charged with assault, criminal weapon possession and endangering the welfare of a child. Jerry B. White, 55, was charged with five counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
Both men were taken to the Oswego County Correctional Facility pending arraignment. Police said a temporary extreme risk protection order investigation was initiated and that the investigation remains ongoing.
