Two indicted on assault charges in St. Lawrence County

A St. Lawrence County grand jury indicted two people Friday on assault-related charges, according to the submitted report and the stated indictment details.

Savon O.Neal, 32, was indicted on a second-degree assault charge in connection with an alleged incident at Gouverneur Correctional Facility on April 10. Daniel Lester, 40, of Rensselaer Falls, was indicted on charges including second- and third-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree strangulation. The indictment alleges the June 14 conduct occurred in Canton. A sealed indictment was also handed up. The defendants are represented by the St. Lawrence County Public Defender's Office.
