Two Samaritan ICU nurses receive 2026 Susan Peters Scholarships
Ashlie Machnaigh and Charlotte Beach, registered nurses in Samaritan Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit, received two $2,000 scholarships for advanced Family Nurse Practitioner degrees, according to the Samaritan Medical Center Foundation of Northern New York.
The Samaritan Medical Center Foundation of Northern New York awarded its 2026 Susan Peters Scholarships to Ashlie Machnaigh and Charlotte Beach, both registered nurses in Samaritan Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit.
The program provides two annual $2,000 awards to local registered nurses pursuing advanced Family Nurse Practitioner degrees. It was established in 2018 in honor of Susan Peters, a longtime nurse and nurse manager who died in 2020, according to Samaritan.
