Watertown approves engineering study for Zoo New York roof repairs
The Watertown City Council agreed to pay a local engineering firm to study repairs for the leaking Visitors Center roof at Zoo New York.

The Watertown City Council has agreed to hire a local engineering firm to study what repairs are needed for the leaking roof at Zoo New York’s Visitors Center, with the city paying for the work.
City staff had been reluctant last spring to cover roof repairs after an inspection found multiple areas of concern. The Visitors Center includes both a shingle-roof section and a portion described as a green roof.
The engineering study is intended to help determine how the roof should be repaired.
