Watertown developer plans lawsuit over unfinished infrastructure work

Developer Mike Lundy has filed a notice of claim in state Supreme Court against the Town of Watertown, seeking more than $400,000 over a disputed agreement to install public sewer and gas lines at an agriculture park off Route 3.

The agreement was tied to land provided for the proposed 1000 Islands Events Center. Water service reaches the park, but the sewer and gas lines have not been installed. Town Supervisor Jim Wright said the town’s financial problems and multimillion-dollar deficits in its water and sewer funds have made the project a low priority. The agreement connected to the events center site has expired, and Lundy has said he plans to take the land back.
