Watertown landlord charged after alleged threats involving tenant and children

Watertown police charged Sierra Soluri, 38, with attempted arson and other offenses after she allegedly threatened to burn a portion of her home while a tenant and four children were inside. The charges include first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree aggravated harassment, second-degree menacing and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said Soluri had been trying to get the tenant to move out. She allegedly sent a text voice message threatening to burn the house if the tenant had not left, then later poured lighter fluid in the kitchen and ignited a lighter. Another person allegedly took the lighter, and the tenant called 911. Police said Soluri later turned herself in and was found with six lighters. She was arraigned in city court and sent to the Jefferson County jail without bail.
