Watertown man faces serial-burglary trial on three indictments

Court records identify the defendant as Richard Wagar, about 46. Two of the indictments charge second-degree burglary of a dwelling, a Class C felony; a third charges third-degree burglary. The cases also list grand-larceny counts, one involving a stolen firearm.
The lead case stems from a Feb. 22, 2025 incident. Wagar was arrested Aug. 13, 2025 by Watertown City Police and has pleaded not guilty to all three indictments. The case is before Judge David A. Renzi.
