Watertown woman charged after drug search, task force says

A Watertown woman was charged after authorities searched a Cross Street residence and reported seizing drugs, cash and firearms.

A 56-year-old Watertown woman was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance after authorities searched a residence at 449 Cross St., the Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force said in a news release. The charges are allegations, and the woman is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Authorities reported seizing about 2.2 kilograms of cocaine, approximately 10 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 166.8 grams of fentanyl, $10,000, digital scales and three firearms. The woman was arraigned in Jefferson County Court and remanded to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building. Additional charges are pending, according to the release.
