
Watertown YMCA plans Healthy Aging Day with free programs
The Watertown Family YMCA is scheduled to host a day of free health, fitness and educational programs at its Downtown YMCA Community Center on Oct. 7.
The Watertown Family YMCA plans to host Healthy Aging Day on Oct. 7 at the Downtown YMCA Community Center, with free programs focused on health, wellness, nutrition and lifelong learning. The schedule includes flu shots, educational sessions, cooking classes and fitness demonstrations.
Kinney Drugs is scheduled to provide flu shots from 9 a.m. to noon, while representatives from Jefferson County Public Health, the Office for the Aging, Samaritan Medical Center and other organizations are expected to share information from 10 a.m. to noon. The YMCA also plans seminars on hearing loss, Medicare and brain-healthy habits, along with cooking classes and public access to fitness programs throughout the day.
