DPW Workers will be going door-to-door over the next few weeks asking to look at your water lines. New York State Department of Health is requiring all water systems to identify the material used in every water line in their system. If there are any lead or galvanized pipes, they will need to be replaced. If you are not certain about the people standing at your door, feel free to call the Clerk's Office at (315) 493-1060, option 1, to verify their identity. You may also request to see their Village ID badge at any time. If you do not feel comfortable letting them in to your house, you have the right to refuse. Please call the Clerk's Office at (315) 493-1060, option 1, if you would rather schedule a time for your pipes to be examined.
