Not every transfer is a sale. A great many of these are estates being settled, property moving into or out of a family trust, a spouse being added to a deed, or a parcel taken by a municipality — those are recorded at $0 or $1 and are marked Not a sale here. Only the ones showing a price changed hands for that price.

Transfers are published by the Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence county Real Property offices and are not independently verified by ClickNNY. Counties publish on their own schedule and revise their reports, so a recent sale may not appear for several weeks. St. Lawrence County’s published report currently runs further behind than the other two.
