Clarkson MBA study finds demand for more North Country air service
A Clarkson University MBA student study found that many students, faculty and staff want more affordable and frequent air service in the North Country.
A Clarkson University MBA student study found strong interest in expanded air service among students, faculty and staff in the North Country. The project was conducted with the Village of Potsdam Planning and Development Office, with data collection and analysis involving SUNY Canton and SUNY Potsdam.
The survey received 241 responses. More than 60% of respondents said they would travel more often if fares were lower and schedules improved. New York City, Boston, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Toronto were the destinations most sought for direct flights. The students said direct service to major hubs could increase travel demand by about 40%.
