Copenhagen advanced to the Section 3 Class D boys soccer final by defeating McGraw in the semifinal at Westmoreland High School. The Golden Knights won 1-0, according to a MaxPreps game recap, for their third consecutive shutout.

The victory sends Copenhagen to its first sectional title game in more than a decade. The championship is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, at 4 p.m. at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School. The opponent had not been confirmed in the available schedule information.

Copenhagen previously defeated DeRuyter 5-0 in the first round. Ryan Augustine scored in that game, and Rylan Widrick recorded the shutout. The Copenhagen boys team began the 2026 season with a 7-1 record.

Copenhagen's girls soccer team also reached the Section 3 Class D semifinals during the same week.
