Corning receives $1.8 million award for North Country ceramic facility

Corning Inc. has received $1.8 million through the New York Power Authority’s Northern New York Power Proceeds program for a ceramic manufacturing project, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced.
The funding will support the conversion of an existing warehouse and is expected to retain 344 jobs while creating five additional positions in the North Country. The award was approved by the authority’s board of trustees.
