
Fall foliage reaches about halfway through seasonal change in St. Lawrence County

Fall foliage has reached about the halfway point in much of St. Lawrence County, according to the latest I LOVE NY Fall Foliage Report issued Wednesday. The report lists about 50% color change in Potsdam and at Eisenhower Lock in Massena, with some leaf droppage reported near the lock.
Wanakena’s Five Ponds Wilderness is further along, at about 60% change. I LOVE NY said the report is based on observations from more than 100 volunteer field observers and reflects expected conditions for the coming weekend.
In nearby Franklin County, the report lists about 85% change and near-peak or peak conditions in Tupper Lake and at Mount Arab. Saranac Lake is at about 65% change and near peak, while Malone is at about 40%.
