Fort Drum officials warned of increased activity and noise during live-fire artillery qualification exercises scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. The training will involve the 3rd Battalion, 12th Field Artillery Regiment, including High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, Army Tactical Missile Systems, Guided Multiple-Launch Rocket Systems and other artillery systems.

A separate Mountain Peak exercise involving soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, is scheduled for Oct. 20 through Oct. 29. That training will include infantry maneuver, force-on-force exercises, aviation support and indirect long-range fires.
