Gouverneur cancer fund plans 25th annual walk Oct. 3

The Gouverneur Breast and Ovarian Cancer Fund’s 25th annual walk is scheduled for Oct. 3 at Gouverneur Village Park. Registration is set to begin at 8 a.m., with opening ceremonies at 10:15 a.m. followed by the walk.

The fund says donations support patients in a four-county area with expenses including medical and prescription copayments, insurance costs, travel, utilities and car payments. The organization says it has assisted more than 1,400 patients and distributed more than 4,000 recovery gift bags.
