The third annual Iron Mind mental health and suicide awareness walk is scheduled for Oct. 17 in Massena. The event is planned alongside the community’s Fall Festival activities, including Pumpkinpalooza.
The walk is set to begin at Sacred Heart Church at 9 a.m., following a pre-walk speech. Participants will travel three-quarters of a mile to the Massena Fire Department. The event is free, and organizers encourage people to attend with friends and family.
The walk is sponsored by Iron Mind, the St. Lawrence County Suicide Coalition and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
