
Jefferson County deputies report multiple charges and arrests

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported several charges and arrests from Aug. 11 through Aug. 13, including two petit larceny cases at stores in the town of Watertown. Deputies said one person was accused of taking $5.34 in merchandise from Walmart on State Route 3, while another was accused of taking $106.50 in merchandise from Target on Towne Center Drive. Both were summoned to appear in CAP Court on Sept. 2.
Deputies also reported charges involving alleged offenses in Cape Vincent and Watertown, including leaving the scene of accidents, aggravated unlicensed operation, violation of probation and resisting arrest. The report also listed two arrests on bench warrants. New York State Police separately reported several misdemeanor charges in Jefferson County, including driving while intoxicated, controlled-substance possession and criminal impersonation. The cases remain allegations, and court dates vary.
