The Lewis County Republican Committee hosted a dinner for candidates on the ballot one week before New York’s Nov. 3, 2026, midterm election, as early voting continued across the region.
State Sen. Mark Walczyk, R-49th Senate District, and Michael Manfredi, the Republican candidate for New York Supreme Court District 5, spoke at the event. Anthony Constantino, the Republican candidate for the 21st Congressional District, gave the after-dinner address and encouraged supporters to vote early.
Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush, R-117th Assembly District, was honored at the dinner. His 16-year career in the district is scheduled to end Dec. 31, 2026. Blankenbush has endorsed Republican Tammie Nabywaniec in the race for the seat. Nabywaniec is running against Democrat Dennis Gordon, who has ties to Fort Drum.
