Lyme Central School has added a solar-powered scoreboard to its athletic field. The nearly $30,000 project was funded through grants and fundraising by the Lyme Lakers Athletic Alliance, the school’s booster club.
The scoreboard was first used for a girls varsity soccer game against South Lewis on Sept. 24 and a boys game against Copenhagen the following night. Jefferson Concrete donated labor to build the concrete base. The athletic alliance continues to accept donations and hopes to add scoreboards for baseball and softball.
