Man charged in death of woman found in Jay home
State police charged Tucker Taylor with second-degree murder in the death of Patricia Lawrence, who was found dead in her Jay residence in August.
New York State Police charged Tucker Taylor, 48, of Ausable Forks, with second-degree murder in the death of Patricia Lawrence, 54, who was found dead inside her residence at 150 Carey Road in the town of Jay on Aug. 2, 2026, according to information in the submission and attached research material.
Taylor was taken into custody in Plattsburgh and arraigned in Elizabethtown Town Court, where he was remanded to the Essex County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to return to court Sept. 18 at 4 p.m. for a felony hearing. State police said investigators executed multiple search warrants after Lawrence was found.
