The Village of Massena awarded Jeda Environmental Services a $43,430 contract to remove the property at 17 King Street, according to information presented at the Village Board’s Aug. 11 meeting. The contract cost will be paid by taxpayers.

Environmental testing is underway before demolition begins. The work is expected to include the main structure, outbuildings and waste at the site. Village officials said the property has been the subject of code enforcement action since 2024.
