Ogdensburg VFW Post 2936 will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony at Groulx Park on Ford Street on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. The event will include a wreath-laying tribute honoring veterans and will be followed by a luncheon at the post.
The luncheon will take place at VFW Post 2936, 1112 Champlain St., in Ogdensburg. Veterans, their families and community members are invited to attend the ceremony and participate in the observance.
Groulx Park's main monument honors Charles A. Groulx, the first Ogdensburg soldier killed in battle during World War I. The monument was dedicated on Nov. 11, 1933. Additional memorials at the park recognize service during the American Revolution, World War I, World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars, the Persian Gulf War and the war on terror.
The ceremony is part of Veterans Day observances serving Ogdensburg and the wider St. Lawrence County community. The 2025 ceremony was held in snowy conditions, and other Veterans Day events took place in Massena and elsewhere in the county.
