St. Lawrence County seeks volunteers to deliver meals to older adults

The St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging is seeking volunteer drivers for its home-delivered meal program. Volunteers are needed through nutrition centers in Brasher Falls, Canton, Gouverneur, Morristown and Potsdam, with a significant shortage in Gouverneur and Potsdam.

Drivers deliver lunchtime meals to homebound older adults Monday through Friday. Volunteers may choose to help a few hours a week or month and receive mileage reimbursement of 76 cents per mile for their routes.
