About Cynthia M. Brownell

Cynthia Brownell is running for the District 6 seat on the Lewis County Board of Legislators. According to her campaign Facebook page, she has lived in the town of Watson since 2014 on land that belongs to her husband Russ's family, which has deep roots in the area, and the couple raised their three children there. She and her husband are potters who run Brownell Pottery from a studio attached to their workshop. She has not previously held county office. Her campaign says she would support small business growth in the district, protect the local aquifer and wells for future use, defend the rights of landowners and support the area's natural resources.
