Carthage High School plans 9/11 remembrance before football game

Carthage High School plans to hold a remembrance ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday at the football field, ahead of the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Local first responders and veterans are scheduled to be honored, and a Fort Drum flyover is planned.

The event is a partnership between the Carthage Area Chamber of Commerce and the Carthage Central School District. Carthage is scheduled to host Nottingham at 7 p.m. after the ceremony. The game can be livestreamed on the school’s website.
